GeoCapitol provided environmental services during construction of the mixed-use development which will include a 271-unit residential project with approximately 9,000 SF of street-level retail, and below street-level structured parking. The mixed-use and amenity spaces will include a fitness center, community rooms, landscaped plazas, and a green roof and pool on top of the building.
GeoCapitol observed and monitored for petroleum and other contaminants during soil excavation. Soil was monitored with a photoionization detector (PID) to detect the presence of volatile organic compounds, as well as visual and olfactory screening to help aid in differentiating contaminated areas from non-contaminated areas. GeoCapitol’s staff worked promptly in meeting deadlines during construction of the targeted LEED certified building.
